Founder & Clinical Director, Lunaris Health PLLC
Medical Clinic & Telehealth Services
I’m Mel Randle, AGACNP-BC, with 20+ years of experience across Chicagoland’s top academic centers and community hospitals. My background spans critical care transport, ICU, clinical education, hospital leadership, and collaboration with world-renowned physicians, nurse practitioners, and researchers.
In every role, I’ve prioritized patient & family advocacy. Having experienced healthcare from the inside out— as both a clinician and as a patient & mom who has experienced medical gaslighting—I know where gaps occur & how to prevent them.
That’s why I founded Lunaris Health: to bring direct, trusted, and judgment-free guidance to individuals & families navigating our complex healthcare system. I simplify the options, educate you & give you a clear path forward — so you can feel informed, confident, & in control of your health decisions.

PATIENT ADVOCACY Services
Your Personal Healthcare Advisor
From single concerns to multiple, complex conditions — I bring clarity, support, and trusted guidance.
Private, Transparent Pricing — No Insurance Required
Medication Review & Reconciliation
Multiple medications can be confusing & risky. I review your complete medication list—using your actual prescription bottles—to identify duplications, interactions, or drugs that may need to be stopped or adjusted. I clarify why each medication was prescribed, flag those intended for short-term use that may have continued unnecessarily, & check for contraindications or dosing errors. I help ensure your treatment plan aligns with current best-practice guidelines and Finally, I teach you how to take medications correctly—including timing, diet considerations, and ways to avoid reduced effectiveness.
Second-Opinion Preparation
Did you know some second-opinion providers are professional partners of your original physician? This can affect objectivity. I research specialists to help ensure independence and prepare your records, timelines, and questions so you get the most value from your consult. (PMC)
Appointment Companion
Medical visits can feel rushed and overwhelming. I can go with you to appointments—in person or virtually—to ensure your questions are asked, your concerns are heard, and your care plan is fully understood. I take notes, help clarify medical language, and follow up to make sure nothing is overlooked. With me by your side, you’ll have a trusted advocate to support you through every step of the visit.
Chronic Pain Advocacy
Living with chronic pain often means facing dismissive care, ineffective prescriptions, or treatment plans. I advocate for you by reviewing care plans, coordinating across specialists, and ensuring your pain is taken seriously—without bias or gaslighting. I do not accept treatment approaches that fail to meaningfully address pain, and I recognize that some non-narcotic medications prescribed as “alternatives” can carry risks greater than the conditions they’re meant to treat. My role is to ensure your pain is evaluated through evidence-based options, that risks are openly discussed, & that no patient is left to suffer without appropriate care.
Chronic Condition Plan Reviews
I review treatment plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart failure, COPD, and hypertension against published best-practice guidelines. I then share recommendations with your existing providers to ensure nothing falls through the cracks and your care stays aligned with the highest standards.
Hospice & End-of-Life Support
Facing end-of-life decisions can be overwhelming for patients and families. I provide compassionate advocacy by ensuring comfort measures reflect patient wishes and by clarifying all available treatment options so families can make informed choices. I facilitate communication between providers and loved ones, address concerns about pain management, and keep dignity and respect at the center of care. I have walked alongside hundreds of patients and families through these moments, and my role is to stand with you—making sure nothing is overlooked and that your family feels supported and educated on what to expect every step of the way.
