ADHD in women often goes undiagnosed for  years.

Especially in women who are:

  • High-functioning

  • Responsible

  • Used to pushing through (toughing it out)

Instead of hyperactivity, it often shows up as:

  • Forgetfulness

  • Mental Overload

  • Emotional Exhaustion

  • Trouble with Follow Through

  • Feeling like everyday life takes more effort than it should.

Many women with ADHD are not diagnosed until adulthood because their symptoms may look like anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, chronic stress, or “just being overwhelmed.”

And for women 35 – 60 yrs:

- Perimenopause and Menopause

  • Hormone changes may affect focus, mood, energy, and motivation.

Perimenopause worsens focus and mood variability

  • Thyroid dysfunction mimics ADHD symptoms

  • Insulin resistance contributes to brain fog and fatigue

  • Vitamins, Minerals, and other Deficiencies could factor in
